Barbecued Corn on the Cob

Corn on the cob is delicious barbecued and so simple to prepare. If your cobs already come in their husks (leaves) all you have to do is peel the husks down to the base of the ear but don’t remove them. Remove the silk strands and replace the husks.

Place the cobs in a bowl of cold, salted water for about 15 minutes. Remove and place directly onto the barbecue, still wrapped in the husks and close the lid.

Turn them every 5 mins or so for about 15 to 20 mins. The corn is cooked when you can cut into the kernels with a small knife.

Remove from the heat, remove the cobs from the husks, sprinkle with black pepper and enjoy. The flavour is so sweet and fresh that you can skip the butter!
